Every Seddon home comes with a 10 year insurance backed structural warranty from either NHBC or LABC. It is often taken for granted that new build homes have a 10 year warranty but let’s take a closer look at what that actually means to buyers. For example, did you know that the warranty offers three layers of protection?
The first part of the warranty gives you peace of mind that, in the unlikely event that your builder becomes insolvent, your upfront fees are reimbursed. The minute you exchange contracts for your home, you will have your deposit, valuation fees etc. paid back to you.
The second part of the warranty protects you from any faults that may appear in the first two years of owning your new home. In the unlikely event that something goes wrong, the builder will rectify all defects in the first two years.
The third part of the insurance covers you from years 3 to 10 whereby should your property suffer from structural defects or drainage problems then you are covered. Seddon Homes use two different reputable warranty providers, NHBC and LABC.
