Seddon Homes give furniture to local charity in Yorkshire

Posted on December 18th, 2014

The Seddon Homes’ Silkstone development on Wheldon Road in Fryston, Castleford has donated the furniture from its recently sold show home to the Yorkshire Children’s Centre Pass It On shop in Batley. Proceeds from the sale of the show home furniture will benefit projects and services for children, families, young adults and the elderly in the Yorkshire area.

Well received by the people of Batley, the high quality furniture sold out within minutes of display within the Pass It On shop to the delight of the Manager, Rachel Dodson, who commented:

“It was great for Seddon Homes to contact us at Pass It On and offer us the furniture from the show home at Silkstone. We received sofa’s, tables, beds and home accessories, the products they gave us have been really good quality and we sold them for good prices and very fast. We are pleased that Seddon Homes contacted us and would love to develop this relationship to receive more fantastic furniture in the future.”

With a long standing ethos of supporting the local community around its developments, Seddon Homes was pleased to be able to offer the high quality furniture to benefit a wide variety of recipients in the area.

“Further to the sale of our four storey, three bedroom Gledhow house type on the popular Silkstone development, we were delighted to donate the show home furniture to help such a worthwhile, local cause,” commented Denis Maddock, Sales and Marketing Director, Seddon Homes.

“We hope that the proceeds will go some way to helping the charity with its important work — especially at this time of year,” Denis concluded.

Further development is planned at the Silkstone site with the next phase of homes scheduled for release in 2015.
