Seddon Homes launches Help to Buy scheme at their new homes development in Castleford

Posted on June 28th, 2013

Seddon Homes has been given the green light to help prospective buyers at its Silkstone development in Castleford with the introduction of the new Government scheme – Help to Buy. Help to Buy is an “equity loan” where the Government will loan up to 20% of the value of a new home. In order to secure this only a minimum 5% deposit is required, leaving just a 75% mortgage to secure.

This eye catching development of new homes in Fryston offers a huge variety of housetypes, from 2 bed properties perfect for first time buyers to larger 3 and 4 bed family homes.

Denis Maddock, sales and marketing director said “We recognise that for many people this is still a difficult economic climate which is why we have strived to ensure these homes represent terrific value for money all round. They are extremely affordable for first time buyers, as well as those looking to upsize into a modern, stylish, good-sized family home.”

“Now, with the assistance of Help to Buy, these homes are more in reach than ever as buyers can take advantage of a low deposit, and lower monthly repayments. The loans are available to anyone purchasing a property up to the value of £600,000 and are subject to the appropriate lender’s credit and affordability checks.”

“As the scheme is open to existing homeowners as well as first time buyers, it really will make the aspiration of new home ownership a reality for many more people.”

Built in a medley of styles and a layout designed to give a neighbourly feeling, the homes at Silkstone provide comfortable and elegant living rooms, good sized bedrooms a contemporary kitchen and family sized bathroom.
