Are you heading to the Fun Day this Sunday in Salterforth?

Let’s hope the weather is great as Salterforth looks forward to the ever popular Fun Day! Even if the weather does decide not to be favourable, the day will continue in good spirits, come rain, come shine.

For the past 25 years, Salterforth Fun Day has been enjoyed by the local residents as it offers a fun, interactive way to get out of the house.

With activities such as a martial arts display, a DJ, egg and spoon races and a tea tent to name but a few, it is easy to see why this is a day that is full of fun in the social calendar.

A highlight of the day is the race up Salterforth “drag” that offers a cash prize for the winners of each category.

There is also going to be a donkey ride which is a great activity for the children and promises to be lots of fun.

The local Anchor Inn will be host to 5 live bands throughout the day from around 3pm and will have an outside bar for the occasion!

So if you’re already getting bored of the Euros taking over every channel on the TV, why not get yourself down to Salterforth playing field and have a day of fun?

The day runs from 12 noon until 4:30pm on Sunday 12th June.
