The purpose of the role

An excellent opportunity has arisen for a Planning and Technical Co-ordinator to join our growing housing business in Birchwood, Warrington. The principle purpose of the role is to assist in the co-ordination of planning applications, approvals and designs on a variety of developments throughout the acquisition and design process.   

Key Responsibilities Include

  • Co-ordinating all types of planning apps including outline, full detailed, NMAs, DISCs 
  • Co-ordination of the external design teams to provide the necessary documentation on time for the application
  • Co-ordinate quotes and appointments of the Development/Design Team of professional consultants as required
  • Identification of site constraints and abnormal development issues and inform decisions on layout design, product mix, elevation treatments and materials etc.
  • Ability to produce feasibility layouts and sketch schemes and critique externally produced layout designs
  • Attend and contribute to land acquisition, development and design meetings as required for each development
  • The Revit house range needs continuing review, feedback and improvement as new types are constructed
  • The impact of specification amendments and the effects of materials substitution assessed. Change control needs to be co-ordinated

Skills, Qualifications and Experience

The ideal candidate will have experience gained within a similar environment, together with relevant academic and/or professional qualifications. They will be highly organised, and familiar with co-ordinating multiple applications simultaneously.

Good communication, proficient with IT (AutoCAD LT etc.) and a high attention to detail are skills you will possess, in addition to being self motivated and a team player.
