Runcorn bucks national trend as buyers snap up homes

Posted on September 24th, 2012

ONLY one property is now up for grabs at a housing development near Runcorn, after homebuyers in the area bucked the national trend by snapping up properties.

Seddon Homes says nine out of 10 properties at its Mosaic development in Halton Brook have now been sold. That’s despite the fact that, nationally, the housing market remains relatively flat.

Denis Maddock, sales and marketing director at Seddon Homes, said: “The level of interest we have had in our Mosaic development has been extremely encouraging.

“The fact that virtually all of the properties have been sold should be seen as a huge vote of confidence in Runcorn and the local economy.

“There is a real buzz around the development, and we are pleased that so many buyers have decided to invest their future with us.”

Seddon Homes, a family-owned company headquartered in Warrington, has a reputation for producing high-quality developments across the North West, Yorkshire and the Midlands.

Mosaic, which consists entirely of contemporary semi-detached properties, was built by Seddon-owned id-living.

The remaining property is a four-bedroom home with thermostatically controlled gas central heating, and full insulation that has been proven to minimise heating costs.

The house is priced at £135,000, but thanks to Seddon’s own Springboard scheme buyers have the chance to own 100% of their new home and only pay 85% of the purchase price — £114,750 — up front. Terms and conditions apply.

Denis added: “The properties at Mosaic have been designed to appeal to modern families who are keen to keep living costs low, but still want to enjoy the benefits of a stylishly designed, contemporary home.”
