Carnival fever hits Congleton!
Posted on July 14th, 2016Congleton is a peaceful market town in South Cheshire and is the setting for our latest housing development The Covey. There are many reasons to move to Congleton, none more so than the renowned Congleton Carnival.
This event, occurs every two years, and is likely to bring thousands of people to the town of Congleton on Saturday 16th 2016 this year. There is a parade through the town, starting at 11am, where you might spot our sponsored roundabout near the fire station.
Once the parade is over, there is a day of fun in store for all who attended at the scenic Congleton Park! Starting at around 1pm through to 7pm, Congleton Park will have something for everyone: from music to food to games and activities.
There will also be a birds of prey event with “The Feathery Folk” as well as “Dapper Donkeys” and Peak Pursuits climbing walls. A highlight of the day is set to be up and coming talent Megan Dixon who have been heavily praised by BBC Radio 2.
With so much fun and activity, the Congleton carnival is set to be another major success for the town, community and local businesses.
