Savvy buyers in Yorkshire are using Help to Buy to secure their new home

Posted on July 17th, 2015

Seddon Homes’ new homes development in Castleford has been a perfect example of where Help to Buy can assist buyers in securing their new property. With reasonably priced 2, 3 and 4 bedroom homes available, Silkstone is continuing to create a buzz around the area drawing in homebuyers from across Yorkshire and further afield.

As potential buyers in and around Leeds may already be aware, the Government backed Help to Buy initiative can make it possible for buyers to secure a new Seddon home within a fantastic location whilst saving themselves money. The main aspects of the initiative include:

  • Only a 5% minimum deposit is required.
  • It is available to all Seddon home buyers.
  • The Government will lend buyers 20% of the value of a new Seddon home through an equity loan, which can be repaid at any time or on the future sale of a home.
  • Buyers only need a 75% mortgage.
  • It is available on homes up to £600,000.

Seddon Homes understand that buyers are in tune with up to date offers available to them, but the Sales Advisor at Silkstone is on hand to impart extensive knowledge about Help to Buy. This will assist anybody who may feel that they cannot afford a deposit and those that are desperately trying to buy their own property instead of wasting their money on rent.

Help to Buy is available on all of Seddon Homes’ high specification new build homes at Silkstone. These properties start at only £124,750 or £99,800 for an impressive and highly spacious 2 bedroom Adel home with Help to Buy.

Denis Maddock, sales and marketing director at Seddon Homes, is encouraging people looking to buy a new home in Castleford to find out more about Help to Buy.

“Many of our buyers already living at Silkstone have used Help to Buy to secure their current home and they haven’t looked back”.

“It’s amazing that with only a 5% deposit, buyers can begin their home buying journey, rather than struggling to find a much larger deposit and not being able to move as quickly as they would like. There are so many positives of using Help to Buy, so everyone should find out more about this initiative from our experienced Sales Advisor at Silkstone”.

Discover how Help to Buy can get buyers moving by visiting the development from Thursday to Monday, between 10am and 5pm. Interested buyers can also head to the ‘offers for you’ section on the Seddon Homes website or call the Marketing Suite on 01977 512825.
