Seddon Homes launches Help to Buy scheme at their new homes development in Salford

Posted on June 28th, 2013

Seddon Homes has been given the go ahead to help prospective buyers at its Greenway development at Unity Quarter in Salford with the introduction of the new Government Help to Buy scheme. Help to Buy is an “equity loan” scheme where the Government loans up to 20% of the value of a new home and because you only need to find a minimum 5% deposit you only need 75% mortgage.

Greenway is a popular development of keenly priced 3, 4 and 5 bedroom homes built to eco standards ensuring comfort and low running costs. Generous specifications are provided and many items regarded as extras by other new homes developers are included as standard.

Denis Maddock, sales and marketing director said “We recognise that for many people this is still a difficult economic climate which is why we have strived to ensure these homes represent terrific value for money all round. They are extremely affordable for first time buyers, as well as those looking to upsize into a modern, stylish, good-sized family home.”

“Now, with the assistance of Help to Buy, these homes are more in reach than ever as buyers can take advantage of a low deposit, and lower monthly repayments. The loans are available to anyone purchasing a property up to the value of £600,000 and are subject to the appropriate lender’s credit and affordability checks.”

“As the scheme is open to existing homeowners as well as first time buyers, it really will make the aspiration of new home ownership a reality for many more people.”
