Seddon’s £1m luxury mansions get off to flying start
Posted on September 6th, 2011LUXURY contemporary mansions in Bolton have attracted dozens of visitors within days of being launched.
One sale is already proceeding, with prospective purchasers showing serious interest in a further two properties, says developer Seddon Homes.
Just six properties are being built at The Laurels, a gated development set among mature trees and accessed via a private drive off Markland Hill.
Priced between £750,000 and £1,150,000, the properties have been built in the grounds of an existing Victorian mansion, which is also being extended and refurbished by Seddon.
The architect-designed homes boast features including a sitting area, en-suite with bath and walk-in shower, plus separate his and hers dressing room in the master bedroom suite; a family media room adjoining the SieMatic kitchen; and galleried dining room leading to a walled courtyard.
Seddon Homes sales director Denis Maddock said: “The Laurels has the only properties of this size and specification in the area. The development is the jewel in the crown of our 2011 new homes collection. The mansions are attracting good interest locally and among ex-pat Boltonians seeking to move back to their roots.”
The £925,000 Millbeck show home, which is available for viewings by appointment only, boasts a lengthy Italian porcelain-tiled hall, formal family sitting room, polished American oak staircase and galleried dining room with three sets of double patio doors opening onto its walled courtyard.
Its contemporary kitchen features two substantial islands with storage in grey SieMatic units, as well as butler’s-style refrigeration, integrated multi-fan pyrolitic self-cleaning oven, steam oven, combi microwave and plate warming drawer.
Its integrated SieMatic kitchen multimedia centre, which is only the second in the UK, comprises a TV, iPod docking station, internet access and dvd/cd player.
Upstairs, its rear wing is dedicated to the master bedroom suite with balcony overlooking the landscaped rear garden.
The front wing contains a guest bedroom with spacious en-suite and three further bedrooms, one fitted out as a study. The family bathroom has a bath plus wet area with shower.
Located off Markland Hill, The Laurels is accessed via a 200 metre-long private drive, bordered by mature trees, leading to an electronic entrance gate.
