Congleton Food and Drink Festival provides fun for the whole family

Posted on June 9th, 2016

If you’re a bit of a foodie, love to dabble with real ales and other drinks or if you just love the hustle and bustle of a market, head down to Congleton this weekend! Sunday 12th June marks the annual return of Congleton Food and Drink Festival in the town centre and it’s not to be missed!

With food and drink from each corner of the globe, there is something for everyone on show this Sunday. Whether you want a gluten free pie, locally sourced honey or Spanish tapas to go, you can find whatever food you’re longing for.

The day starts at 10:30am in Congleton town centre and will run until 4:30pm — so there’s a whole day of food and drink where you can have Italian for breakfast, Mexican for lunch and Thai for dinner or whatever your taste buds are craving.

If you aren’t a big foodie, fear not as, the day will have a whole host of activities to keep you entertained. Throughout the day there will be live music and street entertainment. The Festival Fringe will be home to a range of art stalls, exhibitions and pop up shops and will be lovely to walk around in the sunshine (fingers crossed).

Children are encouraged to take part this year in the Children’s Choice Award where they can visit the stalls all over the market and record which one is their favourite. The stall who gets the most votes will win a certificate.

So if you’re looking for something to do this Sunday in Congleton, head down to the town centre at 10:30am for a day of fun.
