Hollingworth Lake

Hollingworth Lake is one of Rochdale’s best loved attractions. With a great visitor centre, nature reserve, boating, trails, events, guided walks, exhibitions, play and picnic areas, it’s one of the most popular locations for a day outdoors.

The lake spans 118 acres and there’s a Water Activity Centre for those interested in windsurfing, dinghy sailing and rowing. If you’re looking for a relaxing and fun hobby this could be the perfect time to take up something new!

Touchstones

Just a 2 minute walk from the town centre, Touchstones is an award winning Arts & Heritage Centre with a gallery and museum as well as a visitor centre with a café.It is an interesting day out for all ages and is the perfect opportunity to learn about the history of your new home town!

 

Healey Dell Heritage Centre & Tea Rooms

Healey Dell is a wildlife sanctuary with some spectacular scenery and even waterfalls! The Victorian themed tea rooms are the perfect way to warm up after a day of exploring outdoors. With a selection of drinks, homemade food and cakes available, you’re sure to find something delicious.

Rochdale Town Hall

Are you fascinated by architecture? You’ll find lots to discover in Rochdale, with a wide range of fascinating historic buildings to learn about. The Town Hall is Grade I listed and its grand exterior and landscaped gardens make it popular for weddings and television filming. You can also book a tour with an expert guide.
