How did you first hear about the Blossom Gate development from Seddon Homes?
We stumbled across Blossom Gate whilst browsing houses online. We were struck by the appealing and sophisticated look of the houses and felt compelled to see what Seddon Homes have to offer.
What were your first impressions of Seddon Homes?
Neither of us are originally from the North West so we had never heard of Seddon Homes before moving to the region. At first, we thought it looked like Seddon Homes offered nice new houses, but we were curious to know what the ‘catch’ is as
they appeared to be such good value for money – and they are!
What were your first impressions of the Sales Advisor?
Emma has been fantastic from the very moment we first met her to look around the show homes here at Blossom Gate. She is knowledgeable, genuine, and a real asset to Seddon Homes.
When looking around developments of other builders we felt they were quite pushy and over encouraging for us to reserve a property, which was off-putting. We feel so lucky that Emma has been here at Blossom Gate to guide us through buying our first home, she has gone over-andabove to ensure everything has gone smoothly. We can’t thank her enough.
If you were recommended by friends, do you know their first impressions too?
We were not recommended by friends, but friends and family who have visited our new home have been amazed at the quality, finish and specification of Seddon Homes.
Had you researched online? How did you find the website for ease of use, finding important information etc?
Yes. We really appreciated the 360-degree panoramas that were available for our house type. The video showcasing the home was also really useful and perfect for showing our family and friends.
Had you looked at any other housebuilders by the time you visited Seddon Homes? How did they compare? What was it that set Seddon Homes apart?
We have probably been to every housebuilders’ show home in the local area. The quality of Seddon Homes is outstanding compared to the other housebuilders we looked at. The specification that Seddon Homes offer as standard is so generous. We would have had to pay thousands to match the specification that Seddon Homes provide as standard if we had bought from a different housebuilder. It is our opinion that Seddon Homes create houses that are truly a class above.
In terms of the house itself, every room is generously proportioned and thoughtfully laid out. We really value the amount of storage available in our relatively small home, not to mention the added convenience of a utility and en suite which are perfect inclusions for our 3 bedroom semidetached home.
How did you find the process of buying with Seddon Homes?
Very easy. We were first time buyers and apprehensive about the process in the beginning. The solicitors recommended by Seddon Homes were fantastic, everything was processed electronically, or they sent things out to us in the post to fill out. It was no hassle at all.
What was your ongoing experience like with the Sales Advisor? Is it generally the same person you have contact with?
Emma was informative throughout the buying process and kept in touch with us regularly. Now that we’ve moved in, we miss having an excuse to pop in for a chat!
Were you offered any incentives i.e. Help to Buy? Did you use this/these and how did you find them if so?
Yes, we used Help to Buy. We were not offered any schemes, but we feel the ‘extras’ Seddon Homes include as standard form the incentive packages offered by other housebuilders.
Were you offered any assistance from an independent financial advisor?
Yes, we used a mortgage broker recommended by Seddon Homes. They were able to get us an amazing interest rate that was significantly lower than we could have got by ourselves on the high street.
You have lived in your new home for a little while now - how have you found the after care service? Have you had any issues and how were they dealt with?
So far, so good. We received a visit from the Trainee Assistant Site Manager 7 days after we moved in to review the inevitable snags that come with a brand-new home.
Finally, would you be happy to buy from Seddon Homes again in the future and would you recommend Seddon Homes?
Yes! When the time comes, we would love to buy another new property from Seddon Homes. We have been thoroughly impressed by Seddon Homes in every aspect, from the customer service, through to the quality of the build itself. We would recommend Seddon Homes to anybody seeking a good quality home built to a high specification.
