What to do this May bank holiday
Posted on May 27th, 2016
Are you stuck for things to do this bank holiday weekend? Sometimes it’s not so much getting out and doing something different but the smaller things that make the lasting memories. We’ve outlined just a few things that you can do that are a little closer to home.
Obviously the weather has a big impact on what you can do over the bank holiday weekend, but if it’s a dry day you can’t beat a relaxing stroll. Whether it’s through your local park, hiking in the countryside or walking down to the local beer garden — getting out and about in the fresh air is a great way to spend your weekend.
If walking isn’t your thing, you can always throw a BBQ bash! Invite friends and family, get the wine in the fridge and the burgers on the barbie, it’s a classic bank holiday tradition! Again this is weather permitted although cooking under a brollie is what al fresco dining is all about isn’t it?
There’s always something going on locally, whether it’s a carnival, car boot sale or a coffee morning — the best place to find inspiration for bank holiday activities is your local council’s website. They often have a whole host of activities you may not even know existed in your area.
Bank holiday weekends are a good time to try something new; if your local leisure centre is holding an open day for line dancing, go and get involved! You never know, it might be the start of something magical! If you want to get the children or grandchildren involved why not do some home baking?
Our developments will also be open over the weekend, so please pop in to your nearest development for a look around and our Sales Advisers will start you on your customer journey.
