Castleford Tigers family season ticket up for grabs at Silkstone development

Posted on January 17th, 2012

A family with a passion for rugby league is being given the chance to win a season ticket to the Castleford Tigers, thanks to leading developer Seddon Homes.
Families visiting the show home at Seddon’s Silkstone development at Fryston will be entered into a free prize draw with a family season ticket worth almost £600 up for grabs.

One lucky family will be taking their seats at the first home game of the season on Sunday, 12th February, courtesy of Seddon Homes. “Castleford has a long tradition of rugby league and we know there is a great passion for the game here,” said Denis Maddock, sales and marketing manager for Seddon Homes.

“As a company we always try to build positive links with the communities in which we have developments and linking up with the much loved Tigers is an ideal way of doing this in Castleford.

“Previously, we have sponsored a Tigers match and are currently working with the Castleford Panthers as we are sponsoring their latest kit. We’re sure this draw will prove very popular, as it is a terrific prize.”

People visiting the show home at Silkstone can enter the draw during January, finishing on Monday, 30th January, when the winning ticket will be drawn.

Silkstone is located in a rural location in Fryston, close to Fairburn Ings nature reserve and offers a range of two, three and four-bedroom homes.

It is close to good road links and within easy reach of Castleford, Pontefract and Leeds. Visitors to the show home will be able to see for themselves how roomy the properties are. They have thermostatically controlled gas central heating, and full insulation to minimise heating costs, helping to keep household bills low.

Kitchens include quality wall cabinets and work surfaces, a stainless steel oven, four-burner gas hob and integrated extractor hood. Stylish white family bathrooms include chrome fittings, while en suite facilities in master bedrooms feature glazed shower cubicles. Some bedrooms also include fitted sliding mirror wardrobes.

Outside there is a garden tap, turfed front garden and seeded rear garden.

The range of different property types at Silkstone offers first time buyers a means of getting onto the property ladder without having to uproot from the region. It is also ideal for local people with growing families seeking to upgrade to more spacious homes.

To help people struggling to get mortgages in the current difficult climate, Seddon Homes has launched FirstBuy, a government equity loan scheme to help first time buyers onto the property ladder with a smaller mortgage deposit.

First Buy works through a joint loan of up to 20% of the property price from the Government and the house builder, which means that buyers only need to put down a 5% deposit to qualify for a 75% mortgage. Loans will be free of charge for the first five years and repaid when the property is resold.

A family-owned firm that traditionally has developed properties to the west of the Pennines, Seddon has recently started developments in Yorkshire. Silkstone is its fourth in the region. Seddon already has operating bases at Normanton and York.

Prices start from £111,160. For details call 01977 512825 or visit www.seddonhomes.co.uk
